Job summary

Associate Laboratory Assistant at Providence St. Mary Medical Center in Apple Valley, CA. This position is per-diem and will work 8-hour, variable shifts.

Under the general supervision of the Phlebotomy and Specimen Processing Supervisor, the Clinical Lab Assistant I performs routine non-technical, manual, and a moderate amount of technical work in the medical laboratory. Maintains laboratory areas and equipment in a clean and sanitary condition.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Phlebotomy Technician I or II license required upon hire.
• Laboratory, medical office or hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine non-technical, manual and a moderate amount of technical work in the medical laboratory.
• Maintains laboratory areas and equipment in a clean and sanitary condition.
• Works under the supervision of the Phlebotomy and Specimen Processing Supervisor.
