Job summary

Providence St. Joseph Hospital Eureka, CA invites applications for an Associate Laboratory Assistant. This Per Diem role involves 10-hour, variable shifts and works under the supervision of the Phlebotomy Supervisor and the Director of Laboratory Services.

The Clinical Lab Assistant I performs routine non-technical and moderate technical tasks, maintains clean, sanitary lab areas and equipment, and carries out related duties. California Licensure requirements apply at hire.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED is required.
• Phlebotomy Technician I or II license required upon hire with CA licensure.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine non-technical and technical laboratory tasks under supervision.
• Maintain laboratory areas and equipment in a clean and sanitary condition.
• Carry out related tasks as required by the Phlebotomy Supervisor and Director of Laboratory Services.

Job description

Associate Laboratory Assistant at Providence St. Joseph Hospital Eureka, CA. This position is Per Diem and will work 10-hour, variable shifts.

Required Qualifications:

• California Certified Phlebotomy Technician I License upon hire, Or
• California Certified Phlebotomy Technician II License upon hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Laboratory, medical office or hospital experience
