Job summary

Arc Herkimer is seeking Junior Direct Support Professionals to assist individuals with disabilities in homes or community settings. This per diem program offers a $16/hour rate, with opportunities to gain experience and provide respectful, supportive care.

Candidates must be 16–17 years old, with paid training provided. A minimum of 16 hours per month is required, including eight weekend hours (Fri 4pm– Sun 11:59pm).

Qualifications

• Must be between the ages of 16-17 years old.
• No previous experience is required - we provide paid training.
• Staff must work a minimum of 16 hours a month (8 of those hours must occur during a weekend shift: Friday 4pm- Sunday 11:59pm).

Responsibilities

• Assisting individuals with feeding, laundry, cleaning of the residence, yardwork, assisting with outings, 1:1 activities within the residence, meal preparation, fire evacuations, or other emergency situations.
