The Arc Erie County New York is hiring Direct Support Professionals to help individuals with disabilities live independently and participate in daily activities.

This role offers paid training, flexible hours including evenings and weekends, and opportunities to grow skills through an Apprenticeship program and retirement match. Pay ranges from $18.00 to $25.12 per hour with benefits and paid time off after 90 days.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid New York State driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to bend, twist, kneel, climb stairs/ladders, and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals with daily living needs such as meals, hygiene, and medication.
• Provide companionship and encouragement during recreational and community activities.
• Help create opportunities for growth.
• Keep accurate records of progress and activities.
• Participate in training and team meetings to continue to grow your skills.
