Job summary

Arc Herkimer is seeking a Junior Direct Support Professional to assist individuals with disabilities in home or community settings. The role emphasizes positive interactions, encouragement, and respect for individuals' rights, supporting goals and self-esteem. The Jr.

DSP position is per diem with a pay rate of $16/hour. No prior experience is required as paid training is provided. Weekend shifts are required, with a minimum of 16 hours per month.

Qualifications

• Must be between the ages of 16-17 years old.
• No previous experience required - we provide paid training!
• Staff must work a minimum of 16 hours a month (8 of those hours must occur during a weekend shift: Friday 4pm- Sunday 11:59pm).

Responsibilities

• Assisting individuals with feeding, laundry, cleaning of the residence, yardwork, assisting with outings, 1:1 activities within the residence, meal preparation, fire evacuations, or other emergency situations.
