Job summary

Novella Infusion Services in Worcester, MA seeks a compassionate Infusion Nurse for per diem work with a Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM schedule and no weekends. Pay rate ranges from $52.25 to $57.78 per hour.

Responsibilities include administering infusion therapy, establishing IV access, monitoring patients, educating families, and maintaining infection control. RN licensure and 1+ year infusion experience required; lifting up to 50 lbs; per diem flexibility.

Qualifications

• RN with current state license.
• Minimum 1 year infusion/IV experience as an RN (infusion preferred).
• Ability to build positive relationships with patients, families, and staff.
• Commitment to ongoing education in clinical practice.
• Adherence to infection control standards and safe nursing practices.
• Lift up to 50 lbs as required.

Responsibilities

• Administer infusion therapy according to physician orders and protocols.
• Establish and maintain intravenous access with precision and care.
• Monitor patients for reactions, document progress, and update records.
• Educate patients and caregivers about treatment plans and medications.
• Adhere to infection control techniques to maintain a safe environment.
• Manage refrigerator temperatures and daily logs.
• Coordinate follow-up appointments and schedule sessions for no-shows.
• Notify physicians of changes in patient conditions.
• Uphold professionalism in interactions with patients and staff.
• Collect co-pays as required and ensure patient satisfaction surveys are completed.
