Job summary

Novella Infusion Services in Stamford, CT is seeking an experienced Infusion Nurse for per diem shifts. You will administer infusion therapy, establish IV access, monitor patients, and educate families on treatment plans while upholding infection control practices.

The role offers flexibility with a Wednesday or Thursday schedule (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM) and a supportive team environment focused on compassionate patient care and high-quality outcomes. RN license and infusion experience are essential.

Qualifications

• RN license required and current
• Infusion/IV experience of at least 1 year preferred
• Ability to build positive relationships with patients, families, and staff
• Commitment to ongoing clinical education and best practices in infection control
• Lift up to 50 lbs as part of the job responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Administer infusion therapy according to physician orders and protocols
• Establish and maintain IV access with precision
• Monitor patients for reactions and document progress promptly
• Educate patients and caregivers about treatment plans and medications
• Adhere to infection control standards and universal precautions
• Manage refrigerator temperatures and daily logs
• Coordinate follow-up appointments and therapy sessions for no-shows
• Notify physicians and regional directors of changes in patient conditions
• Maintain professionalism in interactions with patients, families, and staff
• Collect co-pays as required and ensure patient satisfaction surveys are completed
