Job summary

Novella Infusion Services in Hopkinton, MA seeks an experienced Infusion Nurse for per diem, Monday–Friday 8:00 AM–4:30 PM with no weekends. The role focuses on delivering infusion therapy, maintaining IV access, and educating patients in a patient-centered setting.

Ideal candidates have RN licensure and at least 1 year of infusion/IV experience, with a commitment to infection control and continuing education. Per diem positions offer flexibility while supporting high-quality care.

Qualifications

• RN license in good standing
• At least 1 year infusion/IV experience as RN (infusion preferred)
• Ability to build positive relationships with patients, families and staff
• Commitment to ongoing clinical education and best practices
• Adherence to infection control standards
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Responsibilities

• Administer infusion therapy per physician orders and protocols
• Establish and maintain IV access with care
• Monitor patients for reactions, document progress and update records
• Educate patients and caregivers about treatment plans, meds, and disease management
• Adhere to infection control techniques and universal precautions
• Manage refrigerator temperatures and daily logs
• Coordinate follow-up appointments and schedule sessions for no-shows
• Notify physicians/regional directors of changes in patient condition
• Uphold professionalism in interactions with patients, families, and client staff
• Collect co-pays as required and ensure patient satisfaction surveys are completed
