Job summary

Northern Nevada Medical Center in Sparks, NV is seeking an ICU Registered Nurse on a per diem basis. You will provide safe, competent nursing care in accordance with facility policies and lead the healthcare team in patient-centered care, delivering service excellence and compassionate treatment.

This per diem role offers flexible shifts and requires maintaining current Nevada nursing licensure, BLS, and ACLS (or within six months of hire).

Qualifications

• Current Nevada nursing license.
• At least one year of critical care nursing experience.
• Current BLS certification.
• ACLS certification (or obtained within six months of hire).

Responsibilities

• Constructs and implements the plan of care using nursing knowledge and skill.
• Coordinates the implementation of the interdisciplinary plan of care for assigned patients.
• Develops goals, treatment plans, and discharge plans that meet individual patient/family needs.
• Completes hourly rounds to strengthen nurse communication, safety, and patient needs.
• Informs the patient and family about Patient Centered Care delivery and policies.
