Job summary

Northern Nevada Medical Center is seeking an ICU Registered Nurse for a per diem, day shift position in Sparks, NV. The role provides safe, competent nursing care aligned with facility policies and emphasizes Patient Centered Care and service-excellence standards.

The ideal candidate will hold a Nevada nursing license, have at least one year of critical care experience, and maintain current BLS; ACLS certification (or within six months) is required.

Qualifications

• Current Nevada nursing license.
• At least one year of critical care nursing experience.
• Current BLS.
• Current ACLS (or obtained within six months of hire).

Responsibilities

• Constructs and implements the plan of care using nursing knowledge and skill; integrates direct and indirect patient care activities.
• Coordinates interdisciplinary plan of care for assigned patients; develops goals, treatment plans, and discharge plans.
• Performs hourly rounds to strengthen nurse communication, improve safety, and anticipate patient needs.
• Informs patient and family about the hospital's Patient Centered Care Delivery model and supports open family visitation and a quiet environment.
