Job summary

Northern Nevada Medical Center in Sparks, NV is seeking an ICU Registered Nurse on a per diem basis. The role provides safe, competent nursing care in accordance with policy and philosophy, with leadership support for the healthcare team and a patient-centered care focus.

The ideal candidate will hold a Nevada nursing license, have at least one year of critical care nursing experience, and possess current BLS and ACLS certification or obtain ACLS within six months of hire.

Qualifications

• Current Nevada nursing license.
• At least one year of critical care nursing experience.
• Current BLS.
• Current ACLS (or obtained within six months of hire).

Responsibilities

• Constructs and implements the plan of care using nursing knowledge and skill.
• Coordinates the implementation of the interdisciplinary plan of care for assigned patients.
• Develops goals, treatment plans, and discharge plans that meet individual patient/family needs.
• Performs hourly rounds to improve safety and patient comfort and to strengthen communication.
