Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of recent critical care experience.
• Minimum of 1 year of recent ICU nursing experience or completion of 6 month UC Irvine Medical Center ICU orientation.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing required.
• Ability to work variable shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, changing environment.
• Ability to maintain work pace.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to implement care plans.
• Coordinate care across disciplines and support staff.
• Assess and revise care plans, evaluate outcomes and readiness for discharge.
• Serve as a PCC and mentor students and new nurses.
