Florida Coast Medical Center Hospital seeks a per diem Pharmacy Technician to support dispensing functions under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Responsibilities include filling orders, stocking ADCs, preparing IV admixtures, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED, Florida license as a Pharmacy Technician, and preferred CPhT certification. Prior hospital experience is preferred. Benefits are available as part of the team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Florida Registered Pharmacy Technician license required.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) through PTCB preferred.

Responsabilités

• Accurately fill and label medication orders with correct strength, dosage form, and quantity in a timely manner.
• Stock automated dispensing cabinets (ADCs) in a timely manner.
• Fill/refill emergency crash carts, boxes, and kits timely and accurately.
• Re-package and label oral medications/extemporaneous preparations and maintain appropriate records.
• Respond to requests for STAT orders and department requests; monitor ADC stock out bulletins.
• Ensure all medications are checked by a pharmacist prior to dispensing.
• Stock medications into pharmacy inventory and maintain proper storage.
• Deliver medications to patient care areas; respond to medication requests and calls.
• Prepare complex IV admixtures (chemotherapy/biotherapy) following USP 797 and 800.
• Comply with state/federal regulations, Joint Commission standards, and hospital policies.
