Job summary

Reliant Medical Group, part of the Optum family, seeks a Per Diem Hospital Medicine Advanced Practitioner Clinician (PA or NP) to join our Worcester, MA team at SVH. You’ll triage and admit patients, collaborate with hospitalists, and provide cross-coverage for Reliant hospitalized patients, including after-hours shifts.

Paid hourly with variations by weekday/weekends/holidays; benefits and professional growth opportunities exist within Optum’s national network and local teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• National Board Certification.
• Licensed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts board of registration in a Physician Assistant program, Masters level preferred.
• Maintains BLS certification, professional certification as appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Hospital Medicine Per Diem AP position, located at Worcester Medical Center (Saint Vincent Hospital – SVH).
• Triages and admits new patients with ER sign outs and admissions oversight.
• Collaborates with hospitalists, cross-covers in the evening and with other services as needed.
• Oversees Reliant hospitalized patients and participates in the SVH IM Residency program.
