Job summary

PeaceHealth is seeking a Cook - Nutrition Services for a Per Diem/Relief position. This role uses HACCP guidelines to plan, prepare and cook food according to recipes and production standards to support patients, staff, volunteers and visitors.

The successful candidate will follow safety and sanitation guidelines, maintain accurate records, and work collaboratively with dietary staff to meet patient meal needs in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years experience as cook in a hospital or full-service kitchen.
• Food Handler Card - Washington
• Proficient in food handling and sanitation
• High school diploma preferred or equivalent
• Professional culinary institute certificate preferred

Responsibilities

• Accurately follow and prepare recipes.
• Prepare hot and cold food according to the recipe and production guidelines.
• Maintain proper food handling techniques and sanitize workstation.
• Organize, calculate, and produce food production.
• Maintain appropriate records according to regulatory standards.
