Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• BLS Certification through the AHA is required.
• Minimum of one year of experience in a clinical acute care setting preferred.
• Previous endoscopy or procedural area experience of 1 year or more; 3 years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with endoscopic, manometry, and other special procedures.
• Prepare procedure rooms by assembling and testing equipment, instruments, and supplies.
• Support physicians during procedures by passing instruments and utilizing endoscopy accessories.
• Assist with medication and solution identification and labeling in collaboration with the registered nurse.
• Ensure proper identification, handling, and transport of patient specimens according to policy and procedure.
• Perform procedure room turnover, including instrument cleaning, decontamination, equipment care, waste disposal, and restocking supplies.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe procedural environment.
