Johns Hopkins Medicine is seeking a Gastroenterology Technical Coordinator for the Endoscopy Unit at Sibley Memorial Hospital in Washington, DC. The role coordinates daily operations, supports endoscopic procedures, and provides technical expertise to staff and nursing teams.
Responsibilities include staff training, scope reprocessing, inventory and vendor management, and adherence to infection control and regulatory standards to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.

Working Hours: Full Time; 40 hours/week; (5) 8 hour shifts
Shift: Day Shift; 8a - 4:30p; On Call work required

The Gastroenterology Technical Coordinator possesses advanced knowledge and skills necessary to perform advanced endoscopic procedures. Acts as a departmental resource for the gastroenterology service line and serves as a primary preceptor for other staff orienting to the Technician role in the Endoscopy Suite. This position in collaboration and under the direction of the department Nurse Manager and/or designated charge nurse coordinates the daily operations of the suite. Ensures operational efficiency by planning for the availability of supplies/equipment and instrumentation. Provides technical expertise to the other Endoscopy Technicians and nursing staff necessary to ensure the safe and effective performance of endoscopic procedures.

Salary Range: Minimum 30.38/hour - Maximum 50.10/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
