Job summary

VEG ER for Pets is seeking a per diem Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our fast-paced ER team in Marietta. You will work alongside doctors to deliver gold-standard, emotionally intelligent care for a wide range of emergencies, from triage to discharge.

Ideal candidates have AVMA-accredited veterinary technology training, CVT/RVT/LVT credentialing in the state, and 1+ year of experience in emergency or specialty medicine. Flexibility for nights/weekends is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or higher in veterinary technology from an AVMA-accredited program preferred.
• Credentialed veterinary technician (CVT/RVT/LVT) in the practicing state; VTS in ECC/IM/anesthesia is a plus.
• 1+ year experience in a veterinary technician role; emergency or specialty experience preferred.
• Strong computer skills and EMR understanding.
• Excellent communication, calm under pressure, and willingness to support team.

Responsibilities

• Triage, treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing.
• Provide nursing care, treatments, and emotional support from triage to discharge.
• Assist with IVs, CRIs, blood products, and other advanced therapies.
• Communicate clearly with team and help shape care plans to maintain flow.
• Perform CPR and handle diagnostics, imaging, and sample collection.
• Utilize advanced techniques like central lines, endoscopy, and ultrasounds.
