Job summary

Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) is seeking a per diem Emergency Veterinarian to provide compassionate, high‑quality care for a wide range of emergencies, including exotics. You will be part of a mentorship‑driven team, handling cases from triage through treatment while supporting clients and their pets.

You’ll work in a fast‑paced, patient‑centered hospital environment with on‑going VEG Education programs and opportunities for growth. Nights, weekends, and holidays may be required.

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent degree is required.
• Emergency medicine experience is preferred.
• Ability to stand for long hours and work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Answer medical questions over the phone when needed.
• Triage and evaluate patients as part of VEG’s ER protocol.
• Perform physical examinations and diagnostic procedures.
• Develop and communicate diagnostic and treatment plans to clients.
• Assist in emergency surgeries and endoscopic procedures.
