Job summary

VEG ER for Pets in Willow Grove, PA, is seeking a per diem Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our front-line emergency team. You will assist with triage, treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing, delivering gold standard, emotionally intelligent care for pets and their families.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; AVMA-accredited veterinary technology degree strongly preferred.
• Credentialed veterinary technician (CVT/RVT/LVT/LVMT) in the state where the VEG practice is located.
• 1+ years of experience in a veterinary technician role; emergency or specialty medicine experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with practice management software and EMR.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays on a rotating basis; ability to lift up to 25 kg.

Responsibilities

• Triage, treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing.
• Provide emotional support to pet parents during stressful moments.
• Deliver nursing care, treatments, and monitoring from first triage to discharge.
• Assist with IVs, CRIs, blood transfusions, and other treatments as needed.
• Collaborate with doctors to shape plans and keep care flowing.
• Perform advanced techniques and support imaging, sample collection, and tube placements.
• Care for fragile patients with attentive, high‑quality care.
