Job summary

Sierra Medical Center in Reno, part of Northern Nevada Health System, is seeking an Emergency Department Registered Nurse for per diem, flexible shifts. You will deliver direct patient care, support triage, and collaborate with physicians and staff to maintain high‑quality care.

The ideal candidate has ED experience, current RN license in Nevada, and certifications such as BCLS, ACLS, and PALS. ENPC/TNCC are optional. Per diem work offers scheduling flexibility and competitive pay.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience.
• Current RN license in state of practice.
• Current BCLS certification; ACLS required within 6 months of hire.
• PALS within 6 months of hire.
• ENPC and TNCC are optional.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the ED and evaluate outcomes.
• Perform head-to-toe assessments across age groups and reassess per policy.
• Assess and manage pain, educate patients and families.
• Utilize triage to ensure timely and appropriate care.
