Virtua Health in Voorhees, NJ is seeking a Neurology Technician to perform routine, sleep-deprived, and long-term EEG studies for adult to geriatric patients. The role includes acting as a super-user for the digital EEG system.

Qualifications

• Requires experience or training in performing encephalogram studies (EEG) and familiarity with ABRET pathways.
• Educated to high school level with additional EEG program graduation; eligible for ABRET registry.
• BLS certification or eligibility required; ABRET pathway registration within two years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs various types of encephalogram studies (Routine, Sleep Deprived, LTM EEG).
• Maintains the digital EEG and long-term monitoring systems; clips long-term studies to optimize storage.
• Obtains patient history from medical records and documents information in the EEG system.
• Ensures patient orders and charges are accurate and appropriate.
