Job summary

St. Mary’s Hospital - Kankakee is seeking an EEG Technician to perform standard EEGs, ambulatory EEGs, and sleep EEGs. You will record brain activity to study epilepsy and localize lesions, while also handling clerical duties and contributing to CQI initiatives.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, an EEG program (preferred), current BCLS, and 2 years' EEG experience (preferred). ABRET certification is preferred; compensation is discussed during hire.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Completion of educational program for EEG technicians preferred.
• Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• 2 yrs experience as an EEG technician preferred
• Associate Degree in Electroneurodiagnostic technology from a school accredited by the CAAHEP preferred
• Certification from the American Board of Registered Electroencephalographic Technologies (ABRET) preferred

Responsibilities

• Performs EEGs, ambulatory EEGs, and multiple sleep latency EEGs.
• Records electrical activity of the brain to study epilepsy and locate lesions.
• Performs clerical duties.
• Participates in CQI and performance improvement activities.

Associate Degree in Electroneurodiagnostic Technology

ABRET Certification

BCLS (AHA) Certification
