Job summary

Prime Healthcare Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston, IL is seeking an EEG Technician for Per Diem, day shifts. You will perform routine EEGs, ambulatory EEGs, and multiple sleep latency EEGs, recording brain activity to help localize lesions and study epilepsy.

The role includes clerical duties and participation in quality improvement. Minimum education is High School Diploma; an EEG tech program and ABRET/AHA BCE certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Educational program for EEG technicians preferred.
• Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• 2 yrs experience as an EEG technician preferred
• Associate Degree in Electroneurodiagnostic technology preferred
• ABRET certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Performs EEGs, ambulatory EEGs, and multiple sleep latency EEGs.
• Records electrical activity of the brain to study epilepsy, convulsive disorders and localizing lesions.
• Performs clerical duties.
• Participates in CQI activities.
