Qualifications

• 1-3 years previous Phlebotomy, ED Technician, or Nursing Assistant experience in an acute care setting.
• Must complete Non-violent Crisis Intervention training on a bi-annual basis.

Responsibilities

• Collect blood specimens from emergency room patients as per physician orders.
• Post laboratory results on the patient's chart and perform point of care testing.
• Monitor vital signs and perform EKG's under supervision.

Skills

Phlebotomy experience

Ability to read, write and communicate in English

Spanish speaking ability

Education

High School or equivalent

CPT - Certified Phlebotomy Technician
