Job summary

Waypoint is seeking a Residential Per Diem Direct Support Professional to support members in Maine. You will help residents build skills, promote independence, and engage in meaningful activities within a safe, respectful home environment.

You will work per diem hours, with no guarantee of set hours and a cap of 25 hours per week, ensuring active participation by maintaining a minimum of 12 hours every two months to stay active.

Qualifications

• Must have the desire to work with individuals with intellectual disabilities.
• Will to implement positive behavior support and structured activities.
• Effective communication with members, families, coworkers and professionals.

Responsibilities

• Develop rapport with residents and cultivate a safe, supportive relationship.
• Provide support and guidance during skills-building activities.
• Implement individual treatment plans and positive support plans.
• Assist with daily living activities including meals, cleanliness and personal hygiene.
• Transport residents in approved vehicles for activities or appointments.
• Exercise sound judgment to ensure safety; notify House Manager of issues.
