Job summary

Waypoint Maine is seeking a Residential Per Diem Direct Support Professional to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in residential and community settings. The role emphasizes building skills, promoting independence, and ensuring safety and dignity for members.

You will work per diem, up to 25 hours per week, with a minimum 12 hours every two months to stay active, and report to the Workforce Manager. Must be reliable and able to work in a team.

Qualifications

• Willingness to work with individuals with intellectual disabilities and learn supportive approaches.
• Ability to implement positive behavior support and structured activities.
• Must be proficient in speaking, reading and writing English.

Responsibilities

• Develop rapport with residents and cultivate a safe, supportive relationship.
• Provide support during skills-building activities and with daily living tasks.
• Implement individual treatment and positive support plans for members.
• Transport residents in approved vehicles as needed.
• Maintain safety, privacy, and confidentiality; document progress daily.
