Job summary

Atrium Health is seeking a CT Technologist I to perform CT scanning procedures in accordance with departmental protocols. The role requires ARRT certification in Radiology or NMTCB for Nuclear Medicine and an ARRT CT registry within one year of hire, plus BLS.

Responsibilities include patient positioning, IV contrast administration, image quality evaluation, and collaboration with Radiologists. The position is part-time with variable hours at our Charlotte facility.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification in Radiology or NMTCB for Nuclear Medicine and advanced registry from the ARRT in CT within one year of hire required. BLS required.
• Graduate of an institution accredited by an agency that ARRT recognizes in Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology.

Responsibilities

• Examines requests and verifies orders on each assigned patient.
• Properly identify patients and assist them during procedures.
• Interviews patients for medical history and reviews EMR records for pertinent data.
• Operates CT scanners and related equipment per departmental protocols.
• Prepares and administers IV contrast as required.
• Evaluates image quality and consults with Radiologist as needed.
• Rotates shifts including call back, holidays, and weekends.
• Maintains radiology computer systems and documents procedures accordingly.
