Zusammenfassung

UNC Health Hillsborough is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Critical Care Unit on a per diem basis, with day or night coverage. The 18-bed CCU cares for mixed acuity adult patients and responds to codes and rapid responses on campus.

ICU experience is preferred. The position requires an NC RN license and BLS for Healthcare Providers, with at least one year of relevant experience. Per diem status offers onsite work and rotating shifts.

Qualifikationen

• Graduation from a school of professional nursing.
• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina; BLS for Healthcare Providers.
• One (1) year of relevant and current experience required.

Aufgaben

• Education - participates in identifying and meeting learning needs of self; attends education programs and uses patient education materials relevant to patient population.
• Evaluation of Care - identifies expected patient outcomes; participates in evaluation of patient care with interdisciplinary team; communicates information to promote continuity of care.
• Implementation - cares for patients with complex problems; performs bedside point-of-care testing as required; uses policies and procedures; organizes and prioritizes care.
• Leadership - helps develop goals; participates in unit goals and performance improvement activities; communicates effectively to promote collaboration.
• Patient Assessment - synthesizes assessment data; identifies discharge needs; builds relationships with families to advocate for patient needs.
• Planning - collaborates with patient/family to update the plan of care; uses multidisciplinary resources; addresses cultural/ethnic issues.
• Research - reads journals for applicable studies and shares ideas with staff.
