Job summary

Resources for Human Development (RHD) - A-Team is hiring per diem Behavioral Health First Responders in Allegheny County, PA. Duties include crisis response, assessments, and coordination with first responders to ensure safe outcomes.

Qualifications

• Compassionate and dependable behavioral health professionals.

Responsibilities

• Respond in person to behavioral health crisis calls dispatched through 911 systems.
• Conduct behavioral health assessments during crises.
• Manage crisis situations safely in community settings.
• Provide supportive crisis counseling and psychoeducation.
• Transport individuals to safer environments if needed.
• Facilitate admissions to higher levels of care and coordinate referrals.
• Support law enforcement, EMS, and fire/rescue during emergencies.
• Follow up to ensure safety and link to treatment resources.
• Provide referral and case management support to individuals and families.
• Represent the program at community events and outreach activities.
• Complete required documentation per agency rules.
