Job summary

Highland Chateau Health and Rehabilitation Center in Saint Paul, MN is hiring a per diem Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to provide rehabilitation services to residents under the supervision of the Occupational Therapist.

Responsibilities include communicating resident progress to the supervisor and team, delivering treatments, and instructing families and nursing staff in maintenance programs, while keeping equipment and the work area safe and tidy.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate resident progress clearly with the supervisor and interdisciplinary team.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration within a rehabilitation setting.
• Ability to educate residents’ families and nursing staff on maintenance programs.

Responsibilities

• Communicate resident progress or problems to supervisor and other team members; instruct resident's family or nursing staff in follow-through programs.
• Provides treatment to patients as directed by the Occupational Therapist
• Instructs families and staff in maintenance programs as directed by the Occupational Therapist
• Communicate with supervisor and other interdisciplinary team members regarding patient progress, problems, and plans
• Maintain equipment and work area in a safe and clean condition.
