Job summary

BoldAge PACE is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for per diem coverage in Columbus, OH. The role supports older adults to maintain independence, safety, and functional ability under OT supervision.

Responsibilities include delivering interventions, documenting progress, and collaborating with the IDT to ensure holistic care. Requires NBCOT, state licensure, and a minimum of 1 year of experience with elderly populations.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant required.
• NBCOT certification required to earn the title of COTA.
• State licensure as required by regulations.
• Completion of Level I and Level II Fieldwork (preferred for varied settings).
• Minimum 1 year working with elderly population.

Responsibilities

• Assist participants with ADLs to promote independence and safety.
• Deliver therapeutic interventions under OT supervision using adaptive equipment.
• Follow individualized treatment plans and adapt techniques as needed.
• Promote engagement and therapy goals with creative solutions.
• Ensure safe transfers, ambulation, and mobility with proper device use.
• Document progress accurately in the EMR and report changes.
