Westside Care Center is seeking a Per Diem Cook to prepare meals for residents at scheduled times, following sanitation procedures and therapeutic diets. Dietary aide duties may be required as well.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to prepare large portions of meals.
• Must be a supportive team member and contribute to teamwork.
• Demonstrates initiative, tact, cheerfulness with residents.
• Must maintain good attendance and punctuality.
• Proficient in English, including reading and writing.

Responsibilities

• Prepares hot and cold foods, meals and beverages including modified textures for therapeutic diets.
• Maintains and follows all meal schedules.
• Ensures safe handling of foods per safety standards and regulations.
• Stores, covers, and refrigerates items; cooks to proper temperatures.
• Follows Facility policies and reports incidents as required.
