Job summary

Trustwell Living, LLC is seeking a Cook for per diem/on-call. You will prepare and serve nutritious meals for residents, ensuring proper portions and timely service across assigned shifts.

Experience with large-group meal prep and the ability to read recipes, work in a team, and communicate effectively are essential. Flexible shifts and multitasking are required to deliver high-quality dining experiences for residents.

Qualifications

• Experience and/or knowledge of meal preparation for large groups.
• Ability to read and understand recipes, work in a team environment, work flexible shifts, handle multiple tasks at one time and communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Must be able to speak and write English clearly for residents.
• Must enjoy working with the elderly and interact with residents who are highly susceptible to illness.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and serves meals for assigned shifts in appropriate portions.
• Maintains sanitation standards required by licenses/regulations; cleans areas, utensils and equipment.
• Rotates inventories by dates and ensures freshness; notifies Food Service Director when supplies are needed.
• Stores food and checks supplies on delivery in absence of the Food Service Director.
• Encourages feedback from residents, guests, and staff to improve food quality and service.
• Supports other departments as part of the team to improve resident satisfaction.
• Provides good communication to all involved in resident services.
• Other duties assigned.
