Job summary

Silver Springs Care Center is seeking a Cook for a 32-hour workweek to prepare and serve meals to residents, following sanitation procedures and therapeutic diets. The role includes handling hot and cold foods, ensuring timely meal service, and maintaining safety standards per state and federal regulations.

Qualifications

• Experience preparing large portions for residents.

• English speaking, reading, and writing required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares hot and cold foods, meals and beverages including modified textures for restricted and therapeutic diets.
• Maintains and follows all meal schedules.
• Ensures all food items are handled safely and sanitation standards are met.
• Stores, covers, and refrigerates items; cooks to FDA codes.
• Follows facility policies and reports resident-related incidents.
• Complies with regulations and acts as a mandated reporter.
