Job summary

Trustwell Living, LLC is seeking a dedicated cook to prepare nutritious meals for residents in our Overland Park community. You will work in a team to read recipes, portion meals, and maintain sanitation standards while ensuring timely service.

The role requires English communication skills, flexibility for shifts, and a compassionate approach to elderly residents. Experience with large group meal prep is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience and/or knowledge of meal preparation for large groups.
• Ability to read and understand recipes and follow directions.
• Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• English speaking and writing proficiency for resident communication.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts and handle multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and serves meals for assigned shifts in appropriate portions.
• Maintains sanitation standards required by licenses and regulations.
• Rotates inventories by dates and informs Food Service Director when supplies are needed.
• Stores food and checks deliveries in absence of the Food Service Director.
• Encourages feedback from residents, guests, and staff to improve food quality and service.
• Supports other departments and strives to improve overall resident satisfaction.
• Provides clear communication to all parties involved in resident services.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
