Job summary

Universal Health Services, provider of hospital and healthcare services, operates Northern Nevada Medical Center in Sparks, NV. This per diem CNA position on our Medical/Telemetry Unit offers a day shift with patient-centered care as the foundation of nursing practice.

Qualified candidates will be NV-licensed CNAs with BLS certification; CNA program completion preferred. Experience in acute care is valued. UHS supports professional growth and benefits across its subsidiaries.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited C.N.A program preferred.
• Current Nevada C.N.A. license required.
• Current BLS certificate required.
• Experience in acute care setting preferred: 1 year FT or 3 years PT.

Responsibilities

• Completes bedside shift report in the room at the beginning and end of each shift. Ensures patient is provided with the names and contact numbers for members of the care team on the communication board every shift.
• Meets with Supervising RN at the beginning of each shift to receive delegation of tasks.
• Involves the patient and family psychosocial, spiritual, emotional, population specific, and diversity needs in care.
