Job summary

Responsibilities include documenting care, reporting changes to the charge nurse, and supporting residents during meals and activities. CNA certification in Alabama is required or obtained within 120 days.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current Alabama CNA certification or obtain it within 120 days of hire.
• Experience as a CNA is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine ADL care (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting).
• Keep resident rooms and care areas clean and orderly.
• Assist in orientation of new residents to the facility.
• Document care as directed.
• Notify charge nurse of any changes in condition.
• Monitor residents to ensure personal care needs are met.
• Assist with transportation to dining, therapy, and activities.
• Record vital signs and report changes.
• Encourage participation in activities and assist as needed.
• Perform restorative and rehabilitative procedures as instructed.
• Assist with lifting, turning, positioning, and transfers.
• Serve meals and assist with feeding as needed.
• Respond promptly to call lights and resident requests.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
