Qualifications

• Must possess a current Alabama CNA certification, or obtain within 120 days.
• Experience as a CNA preferred.
• Ability to follow care plans and document changes accurately.

Responsibilities

• Provides personal care and activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Keeps resident rooms and care areas clean and neat.
• Participates in orientation of new residents to the facility.
• Documents care as instructed and required.
• Reports changes in resident condition to the charge nurse.
• Checks residents to ensure personal care needs are met.
• Assists in transporting residents to dining, therapy, and activities.
• Monitors and records vital signs and reports changes to nursing staff.
• Encourages resident participation in activities and assists as needed.
• Performs restorative and rehabilitative procedures as directed.
• Assists with lifting, turning, moving, and positioning residents as needed.
• Serves meals and assists with feeding as necessary.
• Responds to call lights and resident requests promptly.
• Performs other duties as directed.
