Job summary

Covenant Living is seeking Certified Nursing Assistants to deliver daily resident care in assisted living, skilled nursing and memory care settings in a faith-based community. Responsibilities include direct resident care, help with activities of daily living, light housekeeping and dining assistance, all under supervision of nursing staff.

Qualifications include a state-approved Nursing Assistant program completion and passing the state test, with a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or the equivalent.
• Completion and passing the test for an approved Nursing Assistant program in the State.

Responsibilities

• Reports directly to the nurse manager and may take direction from licensed nurses on duty or other supervisory staff.
• Provides direct care to residents on a daily basis.
• Positions also assist with activities, light housekeeping, laundry, and dining services.
• Assists residents with basic personal care according to procedures and daily assignment (bathing, dressing, dental hygiene, toilet activities, grooming, feeding, transportation/transfer, etc.).
• Maintain resident rooms in a clean and orderly manner with light housekeeping, changing linen, making beds, tidying bedside table, closets, and bathrooms.
• Assist with resident laundry, ensure clothes are marked, clean, mended, ironed, and put away.
• Notify supervisor of clothing needs as they occur.
• Prepare residents for meals, assist with serving meals and feeding of residents.
• May be cross trained in Assisted Living.
