Job summary

Providence seeks a Clinical Pharmacist to oversee prescription renewal processing within state and federal guidelines, collaborating with physicians and caregivers to optimize therapy and satisfaction.

In this role you will work with a diverse clinical team and act as a liaison among patients, physicians, and pharmacies, contributing to a high-quality patient-focused care model.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy from an accredited School of Pharmacy or PharmD in Pharmacy from an accredited School of Pharmacy.
• Postgraduate Year One (PGY-1) Pharmacy Residency or equivalent experience.
• Washington Pharmacist License upon hire; Board of Pharmacy Preceptor License where applicable.
• 3 years of Pharmacy practice with at least 2 years of related experience in lieu of PGY-1.

Job description

The Clinical Pharmacist in this role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of processing individual prescription renewal requests. This position operates within the framework of state and federal regulations, using established guidelines and protocols to authorize or expedite prescription renewals. This role is part of a diverse healthcare team and works collaboratively with physicians, licensed and unlicensed caregivers, and other clinical pharmacy department programs to optimize medication therapy. The Clinical Pharmacist plays a crucial role in ensuring high levels of patient and provider satisfaction through exceptional customer service and acts as a liaison between patients, physicians, and pharmacies.

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in PHARMACY from an accredited School of Pharmacy. Or
• PharmD in PHARMACY from an accredited School of Pharmacy.
• Coursework/Training: Postgraduate Year One (PGY-1) Pharmacy Residency or equivalent experience. Or
• Upon hire: Washington Pharmacist License
