Job summary

Southern New Hampshire Health System seeks a Chaplain to provide spiritual, emotional, and existential care on-site for patients, families, and staff. The role supports beliefs, culture, and worldviews within crisis and life transitions, maintaining sensitivity to diverse backgrounds.

The position requires a Bachelor's in theology or related field and at least 2 CPE units; per diem shifts will be assigned, with opportunities for ongoing education and career growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in theology, spiritual care, religious studies or closely related field required.
• Minimum of two (2) units of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) required.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site spiritual, emotional, existential care to patients, families, and staff.
• Respond promptly to urgent and emergent requests including deaths, codes, traumas, end-of-life situations.
• Adapt to changing patient care needs and work assigned shifts as needed.
