Job summary
Southern New Hampshire Health is seeking a Chaplain Per Diem to provide spiritual, emotional, and existential care to patients, families and staff on-site. The role includes on-call coverage with weekday, overnight, weekend and holiday rotation and shifts that adapt to changing patient care needs.
The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in theology, Spiritual Care or related field and a minimum of two CPE units.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in theology, Spiritual Care, Religious Studies or a closely related field is required.
- Based on the scope of position, a minimum of two (2) units of CPE is required.
Responsibilities
- Provide spiritual, emotional, and existential care to patients, families, and staff on-site.
- Participate in on-call coverage, including weekday, overnight, weekend, and holiday rotation.
- Must be able to work assigned shifts and adapt to changing patient care needs.
- Respond promptly to urgent requests, including deaths, codes, traumas, and family crises.
