Job summary

Endeavor Health seeks a Per Diem Chaplain to provide compassionate spiritual and emotional care across hospital settings. You will work weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts to support patients and families.

You0will triage requests, perform spiritual assessments, and develop plans of care while coordinating with the Spiritual Care & Support team. Acute-care experience and CPE training are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree required; Masters degree preferred.
• 1 unit of CPE from an accredited center required; 2 units preferred.
• Minimum 1 year in a healthcare setting; acute-care hospital preferred.
• Interpersonal, empathetic, analytic thinking and communication skills needed.
• Ability to document visits using electronic resources.
• Commitment to teamwork and collaboration with Spiritual Care & Support team.

Responsibilities

• Provide care aligned with patient population needs and deliver spiritual/religious/emotional support.
• Serve as backup to fulltime chaplains to maintain 24/7 coverage.
• Triage and manage multiple chaplain requests; conduct spiritual assessments.
• Develop and document a care plan; connect patients with community resources.
• Collaborate with community clergy; promote safety and report ethics concerns.
• Document visits in the EHR; participate in meetings and professional development.
