Job summary

Thundermist Health Center is seeking a Dental Assistant to provide chairside support, set up treatment rooms, and assist the dentist during procedures at our West Warwick clinic.

You will take x-ray films, capture alginate impressions, and ensure infection-control standards while recording patient vitals and notes with care. This role emphasizes compassionate, patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• X-Ray Certification (or ability to complete within 6 months of hire).
• BLS Certification (or ability to complete within 6 months of hire).
• Comfortable using computers for charting and documentation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Previous dental assistant experience is a plus—candidates who don’t meet every preferred qualification are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Set up dental procedures and prepare treatment rooms for each patient.
• Provide hands-on assistance to the dentist during procedures.
• Take clear, diagnostic-quality x-ray films.
• Capture accurate alginate impressions.
• Sterilize dental instruments and maintain infection-control standards.
• Record patient vitals and chief complaints in the chart.
• Document clinical notes and treatment plans accurately.
• Communicate with patients in a warm, professional manner to ensure comfort throughout their visit.
