Job summary

Thundermist Health Center is hiring a Dental Assistant to support dentists with chairside procedures, x-ray imaging, and impressions. This on-site role focuses on delivering compassionate patient care and maintaining clinic efficiency.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, X-ray and BLS certifications (or willingness to obtain within 6 months), plus proficient computer charting and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• X-Ray Certification or ability to complete within 6 months of hire.
• BLS Certification or ability to complete within 6 months of hire.
• Comfortable using computers for charting and documentation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up dental procedures and prepare treatment rooms for each patient.
• Provide hands-on assistance to the dentist during procedures.
• Take clear, diagnostic-quality x-ray films.
• Capture accurate alginate impressions.
• Sterilize dental instruments and maintain infection-control standards.
• Record patient vitals and chief complaints in the chart; document treatment plans.
• Communicate with patients warmly and professionally.
