Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health's Jersey City Medical Center is seeking a Per Diem Registered Nurse (RN) for the Cardiac Post CTICU on the Day shift. The role runs 7a–7p with per diem status and requires NJ RN license, BLS, and ACLS within 6 months.

Preferred qualifications include ASN or Nursing Diploma, strong communication and computer skills, and ICU/CCU experience. TCAR every 2 years and a Critical Care Course after 3 months are also expected.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Proficient computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care within the scope of practice defined by the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards.
• Maintain safety and apply evidence-based practice; collaborate with the care team.
• Report identified safety issues and medical errors promptly.
• Demonstrate knowledge of the patient population served.
• Supervise and direct delegation of tasks to team members.
• Set and evaluate priorities with measurable outcomes.
