Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a Per Diem Food Service Worker to contribute to multiple food service environments. You will assist in preparing and serving meals, maintaining line setups, and ensuring food safety and quality standards are met.

The role requires 2–3 years in food service, a high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to lift heavy objects. This onsite position offers hourly pay and comprehensive benefits as applicable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; no substitution with experience.
• 2-3 years of food service experience required.
• Knowledge of supplies, equipment, and inventory control.
• Ability to follow routine verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to lift and manipulate heavy objects.

Responsibilities

• Conveys food and supplies from the main kitchen to the serving site using a cart or by hand.
• Sets up hot and cold food lines and operates related equipment.
• Prepares hot and cold dishes, beverages, salads, and simple bakery items as needed.
• Serves food to customers and ensures correct portions and garnishes.
• Replenishes foods, utensils, and supplies at serving stations and manages condiments.
• Maintains cleanliness and safety, including equipment maintenance and waste removal.
