Job summary

Mountainside Treatment Center in Canaan, CT seeks a Per Diem Behavioral Health Technician to provide a steady, welcoming presence for clients across day, evening, or overnight shifts. You will monitor safety, assist during incidents, and offer calming support.

You’ll perform rounds, support confidential care, count medications, and document logs. Previous health or client-service experience is a plus; CPR/First Aid cert is preferred or provided by Mountainside.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent - Required.
• CPR and First Aid certification (training provided).
• Strong communication and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Monitor client well-being with regular checks and rounds to ensure safety.
• Respond to incidents or emergencies and notify supervisors as needed.
• Provide emotional support and maintain a calm, supportive presence.
• Conduct medication counts and document logs accurately.
• Ensure proper handoffs and maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
