Mountainside Treatment Center in Canaan, CT seeks a Per Diem Behavioral Health Technician to provide a steady, caring presence for clients across day, evening, or overnight shifts. Responsibilities include client welfare checks, safety monitoring, incident response, and supportive communication.

The role requires a High School Diploma, ability to work independently or as part of a team, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Shift flexibility and commitment to confidentiality are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to work independently with minimal instruction and as part of a team.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint; Visio a plus).

Responsabilités

• Monitor client well-being through regular client checks, bed checks, and facility rounds to ensure safety and accountability.
• Monitor the facility with frequent rounds and via camera review to maintain a safe, peaceful environment.
• Respond to incidents or emergencies and coordinate with supervisors or on-call staff as needed.
• Offer emotional support to clients experiencing anxiety or restlessness.
• Perform medication counts and ensure accuracy with medication protocols.
• Complete and document equipment temperature logs to maintain safety standards.
• Maintain accurate handoffs between shifts through documentation and communication.
• Engage with clients with a calm, consistent presence to build trust and ease nerves.
• Uphold confidentiality, professionalism, and best-in-class service standards.
